Easter Swap: The Finale!

Hi there, Nail Friends!

I've decided to do both of the polishes I have left to tell you about from the great Easter swap from Andrea Allis of Finger Painting Fingers! (When last we met I didn't know she had a blog, and so I didn't link it. How terrible of me!)

The second polish in this lineup is Step 2 The Beat Of My Heart, a shaped glitter polish filled with pink and purple hearts and tiny tiny microglitter, shimmering all around in it. It is also a Justin Bieber polish...but I'm going to pretend I don't know that. ^_^

Let'sa GO!

Heart glitter...made for fishing!

So I can definitely say this is not a polish for people who don't like fishing. As you can see, though I got a good coating of the microglitter, the hearts...ehhhh kinda grumpy. I actually didn't plan the heart count, but the pinky is 1 coat, ring finger is 2, middle is 3. And that's the number of hearts I got on my nails! I also tried it out on black with one coat and a fished heart. It's certainly not a terrible glitter, but not my favoritest polish ever.

Now...if you want an epic (and AWESOME) glitter. Keep reading.

I saved the best for last, Nail Friends. I was reading the letter she sent with the package and suddenly, I spied with my little eye...the word, "Lacquistry." the letter was thrown to the side like so much discarded paper and I ripped open the bubble wrap and found...

THIS.

So after a bout of spazzing and staring at it in the sunlight streaming through my window I...set it down until I did swatches. (I know...boring, right?) BUT! Then I put it on. Oh snap did I put it on. From left to right, 4 coats, 3 coats, 2 coats, then 1 coat on my pinky.

I'm...this is...just...wow.

It's a jelly filled with holo glitter. And it's gorgeous! I tend to not like reds on me, but this one is just orange enough to work. I really like it! It applied wonderfully. No terrible dragging to be had here. It's a pretty dense glitter, as you can see. Two coats would be sufficient, though I'd say three for good measure. Apparently Year Of The Dragon was a super LE Lacquistry polish. Considering I can't find anything on it except the sold listing on Lacquistry's etsy page I believe that to be true. I feel super lucky to have received such an amazing gift. So thank you, Andrea!

And now for some picture spam!

Ohhhhh man it's filled with rainbows!

Thank you again for following me in my adventures, despite my posting less than I'd like to be and all my babblings. I also hope you're having fun with the April events (I know I am!)

Until next time, Nail Friends!
Same nail polish time, same nail polish place!

  3. Holy moly, it looks GREAT on you!! I e-mailed Jenna before I sent it to you and asked her how many of these she made. Here is the excerpt from her e-mail to me: "YOTD is gone-didley-gone! I believe there were only 4 or 5 bottles of it in existence, so it is safe to say it is super LE!". I considered hoarding it just because it was LE, but really believe in "paying it forward" when it comes to polish. And if a polish isn't for me, it has to be appreciated and loved by someone else. No point in having it collect dust. I am super thrilled you love it and that it looks good on you. It deserves a loving home! I hope YOTD makes up for Justin Bieber! Lol. Enjoy Florida and show off your awesome nails!!

    1. It doesn't have to "make up for" justin bieber. ^_^, I have a 14 year old sister who loves hhearts and sparkles and girly girly things. She'll get a kick out of it! But YOTD is utterly fantastic!

      Thank you again!
